My name is Kay and I’m the founder of She Renaissance.
My work is rooted in community-based leadership, creative problem-solving, and care-centered practice. Over the years, I’ve worked alongside organizations and communities navigating growth, transition, and change, and I’ve learned that lasting progress comes from listening first, thinking creatively, and building together.

My path has taken shape across community work, public service, and creative spaces—often at the intersections where people are expected to do a lot with very little. In those spaces, creativity wasn’t optional; it was essential. It became a way to make sense of complexity, open new possibilities, and move work forward when traditional approaches fell short.
Hello!
Where Purpose Took Shape
If you ever hear me speak at a training or leadership workshop, you’ll hear me return to the same belief: purpose begins with a love of serving and helping others—through time, resources, and heart. That belief sits at the core of She Renaissance.

It took shape during a period when my own sense of purpose felt uncertain, and it was the care and commitment of others that helped me reconnect with the values and skills I had spent years building—and trust that they still mattered. From that place, She Renaissance emerged as a way to bring together organizational support and creative educational projects—where community knowledge and research-informed practices move together and shape how learning, leadership, and progress take form. With over 20 years of experience, my background extends across community work in both the public and private sectors.

I’ve supported leaders of all kinds, often in spaces where capacity is limited and resources are constrained. Those realities have shaped my commitment to building lasting impact through grant development and financial oversight, program design and evaluation, and leadership workshops and training—work grounded in the day-to-day challenges people face. Alongside this work, my creative practice continues to unfold through a range of initiatives, including radio, short films and promotional materials, live theatre, and educational resources and goods. Creativity, in this context is a way of making meaning, inviting participation, and helping our community engage with the complexity of life in a welcoming person-centered way.Together, these experiences shape how I partner today—guided by curiosity and care, informed by research and best practices, and centered on the everyday person and the communities we serve.
